🕉 Phutureprimitive (San Francisco, CA) Native Harmonix
Phutureprimitive is the moniker of Bay Area producer and songwriter Rain. Early childhood photos reveal Rain sitting at the piano plinking keys, grinning from ear to ear… a true sign of things to come. Continuing his early fascination with music, Rain was later drawn to electronic music, inspired by its ability to combine the best of organically played instruments and the synthetic pleasures of sounds more exotic to the human ear. After beginning a DJ career in the 90s, Rain began incorporating the music he was making in his home studio into his DJ sets. That was all it took to trigger a full-blown love affair with electronic music and the process of its creation… and Phutureprimitive was born.
Phutureprimitive’s music is singular and unique in its approach. Lush melodies drift across intricate rhythms, groove heavy beats and warm, fuzzy bass lines. Often exploring a dark and dense palette, his music also manages to convey a sense of tranquility and beauty, engaging the listener into hypnotic movement and often escalating into a full-on kinetic experience. Shimmering with cinematic qualities, his music ultimately speaks to the body, mind and soul.
🕉 Bluetech (San Diego, CA)
Crawling behind his living room soundsystem listening to classical music with headphones on when he was 4, was when he first fell in love with music. He left his body and traveled through the landscapes of sound. It all began with a piano.
His music continually grows. He’s come full circle in many ways, with new releases this year having a strong ambient quality to them that is reminiscent of his early work. It has evolved though; the musical geometries unfold in different ways, and move in different directions.
🕉 Detox Unit (Austin Texas)
🕉 Hedflux (U.K) Luminus Music
Hedflux is the psychedelic music project of DJ/producer/sound psyentist Steve Young. Originating from Scotland, and immersed in electronic music for more than two decades, Steve started deejaying in 1992 and learned music production at home while pursuing an academic interest in Physics and Mathematics. After graduating in 2004 with a PhD in Quantum Physics, he left academia and spent five years working in the tech industry, during which time a relentless desire to live from the heart inspired him to finally quit employment in 2010 and embody his musical passion completely.
Combining the rhythmic elements of breaks and techno with the sonic geometries of psytrance, Hedflux has become synonymous with the styles known as “psybreaks” or “psychedelic tech-funk”, leading the way for a growing group of artists who resonate with the sound, and bringing together people from separate musical scenes. The seminal 2010 track “Mindcell” exemplifies the style; spending 10 weeks at the top of the Beatport Breaks chart, and becoming the 3rd top selling tune of the year, Mindcell went on to win the “Best Track” award at the 2011 Breakspoll Awards.
🕉 2NUTZ: kLL sMTH + Atomic Reactor (Denver, CO)

Their mission is to create a unique, uplifting, high energy experience that always leaves you wanting more. 2NUTZ will launch you to a new planet whose inhabitants live in a spacious atmospheric environment and survive solely on low end frequencies and roaring synth lines. Not only do these two display amazing talent and dedication as a duo, they also excel in their trade individually. Together, and through their solo projects, they have taken the bass music world by storm with releases on Simplify, Adapted, Muti Music, Street Ritual, Gruntworthy, and Prime Dub
🕉 BogTroTTeR (Minneapolis, MN) Santi Planti, Additech
The Minneapolis native BogTroTTeR has set roots in Denver and has been melting crowds throughout United States, Australia, and Canada since 2009. Through complex percussions and growling rhythms, BogTroTTeR’s diverse collage of original compositions challenges the scope of modern day psychedelic bass music. His sound pushes the limits through his own unique mixture of glitch-hop, breakbeats, and psy-bass with a dark, swampy twist. Murky bass lines and terrestrial synthesizers are just a few things contributing to the lustrous sound field amalgamated by BogTroTTeR.
He has quickly become a favorite at festivals such as Infrasound, Lucidity and last years’ Tipper and Friends’ Full Moon Gathering; inspiring a myriad of listeners to tread deep into his sound field, united by lustrous melodies.
🕉 Shamanic Technology (Bristol, UK)
Shamanic Technology is a communication in contemporary bass culture. Taking elements from the world of
Neuro, Glitch, Breakbeat and Hip Hop; this is bassmusic that crosses genres and spans multiple tempos, where
seamless elements combine across a backdrop of old-skool IDM nostalgia, dark basslines and glitch
innovation.. Shamanic Technology is an ever-evolving exploration in sound experimentation. A collision of
dynamic sound design, beat science and hypnotic melody.
